My DUBTurbo ReviewI'm not gonna try to throw you a sales pitch here. I'll tell you a bit about myself and then I'll give you my honest Dub Turbo review based on my experience. Whether you get the software or not is up to you, though I will say that I do strongly recommend it. Who Am I?My name is Alex and I've been a DJ for about 6 years now. At first, I started DJing at college parties and things like that. Then I got better and got some gigs at local bars. After a while, I got picked up by a promoter and I was doing gigs at dance clubs all over Chicago. I'm not going to claim that I was well known or anything, but I've been around the DJ scene, so I have some experience with all sorts of music production software. DUBturbo is the latest beat maker that I've tried and I decided to write up a DubTurbo review for your benefit. Other Beat Making ProgramsIf you're new to making your own beats, you first need to get some background on what beat making software usually provides and how Dub Turbo compares. I've used loads of other music production programs, or DAWs. A DAW is a Digital Audio Workstation and what that basically means is that it's a program that lets you record, create and edit music digitally rather than using physical audio tapes or other physical media. Popular DAWs include Fruityloops, Reason and Ableton. These programs are the industry standards in music production. Professionals who make beats often use these DAW programs. However, they're not just good for making beats. You could literally make and edit any type of music with these software packages. They are so insanely full-featured, people make sounds and songs with them that are in genres of their own, unlike anything else the world has ever heard. However, they're not easy to use. Because they are so incredibly advanced, with so many different modules and customizations, they take people years to really master. On top of that, they're expensive. Reason, for example, costs around $270 right now. And that's just the main program. There are endless sound banks and additional modules that are sold to supplement the program, and they each cost around $100. Like I said, this is professional software for the professional producers out there who work on songs that you hear on the radio. They have the money to afford these programs and they take the time to learn them because it's their career. So let's keep that in mind. ![]() How DUBturbo ComparesOk, so having said all of that about the other programs, let's talk about Dub Turbo. This is strictly a beat maker. It's not a full-featured all-around digital audio processing workstation that will let you create anything you want. It is, however, really good for making beats and melodies. Even though it's not as big as the big guys, it's damn good at what it does. Using DubTurbo, you can make an infinite number of combinations of beats and melodies. It comes with the sound banks that you need, the functions that you'll want and some sweet features that you'll be glad it has. The sound clips are high quality files, the user interface is easy to use and intuitive and if you're tying to make your own beats then you'll be glad you read this DUBturbo review because you're going to love this beat maker. But if you're a DJ or even if you're just starting out and learning how to make your own beats, then you should get DubTurbo. In addition to being a great piece of software, it comes with tutorials and guides that will actually teach you how to make great beats. You're not just gonna be thrown into a program you don't know how to use. So this is a great learning tool, a good beat maker for making high quality sounding beats and it's really affordable too.
